Hello and welcome to our hotel

Did you know that Sir George Everest was born here at our hotel in 1790! His pioneering mapping work led him to the Himalayas, and the highest peak in the world was named after him in 1865 – Mount Everest.

Newsletter Click me The Manor sits at the foot of the ancient fortress, Table Mountain. With its striking white exterior against the vivid green backdrop of the Black Mountains this Manor House makes a bold statement.

Situated in possibly the most beautiful valley in the Beacons National Park on the fringes of the pretty and sophisticated market town of Crickhowell, the views here are humbling.

With 22 individually styled bedrooms, The Manor’s interior is honest and unpretentious, we like to think ofI ts characteristics being similar to well-aged Claret.

Our bistro overlooks a valley encroached by an impressive escarpment and below the river Usk. Food is of great importance to us, we strive to be up-to-date, but not at the expense of tradition. 90% of the meat and poultry on our menus comes from our family farm just seven miles down the road – provenance is always our motivation.

We think our hotel is the perfect country get away – come rain or shine, what ever you want to do, The Manor provides the ideal, affordable break to recharge and refresh in a clean, green, natural environment.
