Food

Eating is one of the most important things we do, yet few of us know the real story behind the food on our plates – but we do!

One thing we are very proud of is that 90% of our meat and poultry is reared on the family farm just seven miles away in Llangynidr, so we know exactly what our animals have been fed throughout their life. We have been using local produce for over 15 years now, helping to sustain local suppliers and hopefully reduce our carbon impact overall.

Our menu is quintessentially British. We believe in simple, unfussy food and try to ensure that we use organic (where possible) seasonal produce.

Our Bistro, with its handmade oak tables and candle lit warm yellow walls is as comforting as our food and our prices.

7 miles an hour menu

7 miles from our farm to your plate, slow food doesn't have to take up time, miles or 'cost the earth.'

We believe in slow food, but equally understand that today, people can have a fast pace of life.

We wanted to create a menu where a lot of the ingredients came from our family farm in Llangynidr and other small suppliers in and around the Brecon Beacons, served within an hour to suit your working week - and to also suit those lucky individuals who need not rush back to the office.

The 7 mile Menu offers a 2course lunch full of delicious local Welsh ingredients for £13.50. So if you have been thinking of trying us for lunch or dinner, now is a great time to visit - as the day get warmer and the nights get lighter the view from our terrace is amazing.
