At the Manor Hotel, we aim to ensure that all of our guests have comfortable facilities and are made to feel welcome. We have developed this access statement to address some of the more common issues that disabled people face.
The access statement is intended to provide additional information for all guests who wish to attend the hotel or use its facilities.
The Manor Hotel is independently owned and is part of three establishments within the ‘Taste Inn Wales Group’. It has 22 en suite bedrooms plus 1 Suite that sleeps up to 6 guests with a 1 rosette restaurant, bar and leisure suite. The leisure suite includes a leisure pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and a full gym. The bedrooms are situated on two floors within the hotel.
Prior to your Arrival

The nearest bus stop is situated 5 minutes from the Hotel on the main A40 road.
The nearest train station is Abergavenny, which is approximately 15 minutes from the hotel.
There are local taxi firms, which we can provide you with details of or book on your behalf if travelling from abroad. We recommend CTE Taxis on 01873 811 764.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
There is a private Car Park located at the Hotel free of charge to guests
We do ask that customers park sensibly allowing other cars to pass.
The car park surface is tarmac.
There is a slope from the lower car park.
We are happy to offer assistance with luggage on request.
Main Entrance and Reception
The Main Entrance leads to Reception, Bar, Restaurant.
There is just 1 step at the main entrance and a ramp is in place at all times. The entrance, passageway and bar has wood flooring and the terrace or conservatory area is carpeted.
Our upstairs corridors are well lit and carpeted.
The Bar & Restaurant have wooden flooring throughout.
There are two doors leading to the Restaurant with two fire exits.
There is one door leading into the Bar area.
There are toilets situated on the Ground Floor with two entry doors.
The fire alarm system is a siren and does not have flashing lights. Assistance will be given in the unlikely event of an evacuation.

All bedrooms are either on the 1st or 2nd floors and are accessible by stairs
All rooms have showers, some have bath with shower over.
Non slip bath mats in bathrooms are made available on request.
As a 3 Star AA Quality Standard Hotel, we are committed to providing a high level of customer service. Whilst the physical limitations of the existing building may impose some constraints on what we are able to do, we fully intend where possible to comply with current regulations and good practice. We have tried to make all the ground floor of the hotel as wheelchair accessible as possible.
The nature and grading of the building means it is impossible to allow wheelchair access to bedrooms without the use of stairs.
The Manor Hotel aims to ensure that all employees, guests and others are treated equally and according to their needs. Staff training in Disability Awareness is part of the staff development programme, in compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
